Southampton close in on Graziano Pelle as Ronald Koeman’s rebuilding mission begins

Ronald Koeman gave his first press conference as Southampton boss yesterday and cut an impressive figure.

He spoke of no more planned sales, of there still being ambition at St. Mary’s and how the club had been sold to him on it’s future. He stated quite categorically that he would not have come had their been uncertainty.

In what was a new air of transparency as far as Saints was concerned he also confirmed that a deal was close for Italian striker Graziano Pelle from his old club Feyenoord.

Impressive. Adam Lallana is replaced, and now too will be Rickie Lambert. Just what the fans wanted to hear.
