Why time is running out fast for the Southampton board

When you watch your club sell a plethora of first team players, naturally you become a little bit anxious about when replacements will arrive.

As far as Southampton are concerned, the fanbase is taking that anxiety to a new level, wondering quite when the board will spend even a small proportion of it’s vast profits this summer. Despite talk of being hopeful that two or three players would be coming in over the last weekend, it is now Tuesday morning and no new faces have arrived at the club.

  1. Don’t think we need to panic,we have a good first 12/13 just need a a bit more quality at CB and another striker but Boruc,Clyne,Fonte,Wanyama,Bertrand,Tadic,JWP,Morgan,Cork,Davis,Pelle is pretty good to start the season.With Ramerize,Reed,Yoshida,Lloyd Isgrove,Targett,Gallagher,Davis

    1. As a local with both saints and pompey friends, sorry to say I believe it’s same as they went through. Current owners asset stripping so they can sell club a lot cheaper to potential new owner who could not afford it at previously touted price. I would not be surprised if this happens sooner than later

  2. We can all appreciate we need be patient but we can will not accept the broken promises of this board especially the chairman. BRING BACK CORTES He at least backed up history with action. Krueger said ALL the funds would be spent. Absolute TOSH
